Ethiopia

Presented by Scott Lindenau

Saturday October 10 at 5

Ethiopia-A historical land and a crossroads of indigenous cultures:

The only African country that was never colonized, Ethiopia is referred to as the roof of Africa with its capital Addis Ababa, at 8200' in elevation. Many of its landscapes and stunning national parks such as the Bale+Simien Mountains rise over 12,000' with rare and endemic wildlife such as the Simien Wolf and Walia Ibex. A diverse land with Ethiopian Orthodox Christians best exemplified by the 13 rock hewn churches of Lalibela to the diverse cultures of the southern Omo Valley, this presentation offers a glimpse into the beauty of this less-traveled destination.
